John Roland

John Mallory Roland, Jr., 49, of Villa Rica, Ga., died on Saturday, October 13, 2007. Born in Cartersville, Ga., on February 17, 1956, he was the son of the late John M. and Edith Vick Roland, Sr. John was always known as a very creative person. He was an established Carpenter. John was a member of the Bread of Life Church. He was preceded in death by his son, John Mallory Roland III and his parents; brother, Jimmy Roland; nephew Jody Roland.

Survivors include his fiancée, Becky Hensley of Villa Rica; daughter, Amiee Roland and fiancée Mike of Cartersville and daughter and son in law, Amanda R. and Mike Mosley of Tampa, Fl.; grandchildren, Tyriek, Hayzannah, Alayah, and Elijah Mosley of Tampa, Fl.; sister and brother in laws, Nancy and Max Maburn of White, Patsy and Larry Taylor of Rydal, Janie and Sam Irwin of Cartersville; Debbie and Randy Hawkins of Douglasville; sister, Bobbie Coker of Douglasville, brother Andy Roland of Cartersville; several aunts; one uncle; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 17, 2007 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with the Reverend Max Maburn officiating. Internment will follow at a later time. Serving as honorary pallbearers are the following: Randy Hawkins, Shawn Hawkins, Ron Johnson, Matt Kennedy, Timothy Kennedy, and Shelby Taylor.

The family will receive friends from 6 -9p.m. on Tuesday, October 16, 2007 at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
