John Turner

January 27, 1936 — March 14, 2012

Mr. John �PaPa� �Buck� Turner, 76, of Cartersville passed away, Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at a local hospital. A native of Bartow County, Mr. Turner was born January 27, 1936 to the late J.L. Turner and the late Estelle Jenkins Turner. Preceding him in death along with his parents are two sisters, Carol Jean Phillips and Irma Jo Turner; and one brother, Jerry Turner.

Mr. Turner was a graduated of Georgia Tech and prior to retirement was a truck driver for Seven Hills Transport. He was baptized at Christian Fellowship Church.



Survivors include his wife, Sue Turner; his children, Steve Turner (Mary), Sherry Worch (Kim), Mark Hufstetler, Scott Hufstetler (Kim), Cindy Hulsey (Terrell) and Renee Van Valkenburg; his grandchildren, Amy , Randy, Steven , Jerrica, Christy, Adam, Tyler, Cody, Taylor, Tori and Dala; fourteen great-grandchildren; his brother, Alan Turner; and a sister, Maxi T. Johnston.



Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 16, 2012 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Mike Abernathy, Rev. Marty Johnston, Rev. I.L. Smith and Rev. Richie Franklin officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Terrell Hulsey, Stevie Ray, Curtis Grier, Larry Smith, Cody Hufstetler, Kim Worch and Adam Furr. These gentlemen are asked to meet at the funeral home at 1:15 p.m., Friday.



The family will receive friends from 5 � 9 p.m., Thursday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Road, Cartersville.
