Johnnie Sue Emerson

Mrs. Johnnie Sue Bruce Emerson, 66, of Cartersville, died Friday, September 11, 2015 at Tranquility at Kennesaw Mountain.

Born February 27, 1949 in Cartersville, she was a daughter of the late Norman Bruce and the late Plumer Bagley Bruce. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Sarah Longwith; and brothers, Odell Bruce, Clifford Bruce, and J.D. Bruce.

Survivors include her husband George Emerson; children, Wendy Wade and her husband Chuck, Wayne Shook, Terry Shook, and Billy Shook; sister, Louise Abernathy and her husband Randall; brother, Tommy Bruce and his wife Sheila; 8 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with The Reverend Stanley Hamilton officiating. Interment will follow in Cassville Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, on Saturday from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m.
