Mr. Johnny Frank Goss, 73, of Cartersville, passed away Friday, January 3, 2014 at his residence. A native of Bartow County, born October 15, 1940, he was the son of the late William Goss and the late Willie Evie Howard Goss.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Goss; a son, David Goss; his step-son, Alfred Smith; his sister, Dale Shepherd; and a brother, Ronnie Goss. He was an avid Atlanta Braves fan and a devoted family man. He enjoyed hunting souvenirs.
Survivors include his daughters, Debra Amos of Rydal, Lisa Olvera and Michelle Goss both of Cartersville; his sons, Daryl and Tony Goss of Cartersville; his sisters, Dorothy Huskins and Pearl Cagle of Cartersville; his brother William Goss of Cartersville; his step-daughter, Connie Lee of Cartersville; twenty grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren; and ex-wife and friend, Bobbie Phillips
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 9, 2014 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with The Reverend Bobby Wright officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 – 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Serving as pallbearers will be George Turner, Mike Dilcher, Chris Perkins, Scott Lanham, Phillip Turner and Russell Mulkey.
