Mr. Johnny Dwight Hart age 68, of Rome, GA, died Wednesday, August 19, 2009, in a local hospital.



Mr. Hart was born in Pulaski County, GA on August 19, 1941, the son of the late Elbert Hart and Alberta Foxworthy Hart. Mr. Hart served in the United States Air Force and retired from Department of Agriculture with the federal and the state as an inspector after thirty-four years of service.



Survivors include his wife of forty-three years, Margie Knight Hart of Rome, GA; two sons and daughters-in-law, Tracy D. Hart and his wife, Yolonda of Statesbora, GA and Stephen B. Hart and his wife, Tammy of Huntsville, AL; daughter and son-in-law, Terri A. Lord Duncan and her husband, Steve of Rome, GA; sister-in-law, JoAnn Foster of Hawkinsville, GA; a sister and brother-in-law, Zelda and Bill McDowell of Hawkinsville, GA; and a brother and sister-in-law, Terrell and Carol Hart of Sarasota, FL; and nine grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.



A Celebration of Life will be held August 22, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. in the Brooklet United Methodist Church in Statesboro, GA with Rev. Wes Moye officiating. Interment will follow in the Bulloch Memorial Gardens.



The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. in the Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home in Statesboro, GA.
