Johnny Nations

Mr. Johnny Will Nations, 85, of Cartersville, widower of the late Annie Collins Nations, died Thursday, April 25, 2013 at Townsend Park Health and Rehabilitation.

Born October 11, 1928 in Bartow County, he was a son of the late John Nations and the late Ollie Mae Cole Nations. Mr. Nations enjoyed yard sales and going to flea markets and auctions, he also enjoyed fishing and gardening.

Survivors include his daughters, Patsy Glover and her husband Kym of Rockmart, Linda Nations of White, Carol Cole and her husband Danny of Cartersville, Paula Nations, also of Cartersville, and Judy Lackey and her husband Jerry of Dallas; son, Johnny R. Nations of Shelbyville, TN; brothers, Robert Nations of Cumming and Tommy Nations of Stockbridge; sisters, Betty Purvis of Adairsville, Martha Money of Cartersville, Sue Mitchell of Gainesville, Christine Dokes of Monroe, and Mary Flowers of Jasper; 14 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, April 28, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with The Reverend Anthony Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Tabernacle Cemetery in Rydal. The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 27, 2013 from 6 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers will be David, Josh, Jon, Kevin, Justin and Aaron.
