Mr. Johnny "Red" Warren Roberson age 74 of Cassville, Rd. Cartersville, GA. Passed away peacefully on Monday January 29,2024 at his home following an extended illness. Mr. Roberson was born on May 21,1949 in Cartersville, GA., the son of the late Thomas Milton Roberson and the late Ethel Shaw Roberson.
He was a native and lifelong resident of Cartersville. Mr. Roberson was a veteran of the US Army of the Vietnam War. He was always proud to be of service to his country and serve three tours in Vietnam. He was also proud of his sons and their accomplishments, college and baseball. He was a huge Georgia Bulldogs fan. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Susan Pasley Roberson in 2021, his brother, Tony Shedd and two sisters, Bettie Lou Roberson and Barbara Greeson. Mr. Roberson was a member of Cartersville Church of God.
Surviving Mr. Roberson are five sons and three daughters in law, Doug ( Danette) Roberson of Dallas, GA., Barry and Karen Roberson of Cartersville, Michael and Mary Roberson of Acworth, GA., Matt and Sarah Roberson of East Ridge, TN., Nathan Roberson of Cartersville, special nephew, Ted Dodd of Kingston, GA., nine grandchildren, one great grandchild, several nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Friday February 2,2024 at 11:00 am from the Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Hudson officiating. The following gentleman will serve as pallbearers, Will Roberson, Portland Roberson, Jerry Richmond, Eric Lowe, Wesley Knight, Aaron Prince, Brenton Baggett and Nathaniel Jones. The following gentleman will serve as honorary pallbearers, Steve Holiday, Gary Barron, Gary Cochran, Geary Ford, Bill Hall, Bill Godfrey and Terry Bartlett. Interment will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will meet with friends at the Parnick Jennings Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 5-8:00 pm.
