Mr. Jon Margan, 70, of Cartersville sadly passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at Piedmont Cartersville Medical Center.
Born on January 2, 1955, in Banat, Yugoslavia, he was the son of Cornell Margan and Sofia Popescu Margan. He was preceded in death by his father.
Jon was a man of immense humor and wisdom, cherishing every moment he spent with his loved ones. He was a wonderful man with a loving heart whose life was a testament to compassion and resilience. A dedicated hard worker whose gentle spirit and unwavering love will forever be cherished.
Survivors include his mother, Sofia Margan; his wife, Ruth Margan; his daughters, Kristina Margan, and Kathy Kautz (& husband Glenn); his son, Juan Martinez; his sister, Zina Skumpija (& husband George); and his grandchildren, Seanna Kautz, and Cora Kautz; his niece, Monica Tompkins (& husband Jason); his nephew, John Skumpija; his great niece, Briona Skumpija; his great-great nieces, Aaliyah Skumpija, and Sarenah Skumpija; and his great-great nephew, Joinel Skumpija.
A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 28, 2025, in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with Pastor Ken Coomer officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Friday, prior to the service.
