Joseph Griffin

Joseph James Griffin, 51, of Cartersville, passed away Monday, July 13, 2009 at Emory University Hospital. Born in Bartow county on Oct. 15, 1957, he was the son of Margie Luke Griffin and the late Mattie Griffin. Joseph has resided in Cartersville for the past twelve years coming from Jacksonville, Florida. He was of the Baptist faith and was a member of the Teamsters Local #728. He enjoyed spending time with his children and family.



Survivors include his wife, Faye Cline Griffin;his daughter, Dena Brandenburg; his son, James Strickland; his daughter, Sandra Leigh Griffin; his son, Joshua Griffin; his daughter, Taylor Griffin; his son, Nicholas Griffin; his mother, Margie Griffin; his grandchildren, Katie Quintern, Hunter Brandenburg, Tristan Strickland, Alexis Strickland, Damian Strickland, Xander Strickland, Dorian Griffin and Gabriel Griffin; his siblings, Linda Stallings, Caroline Perry, Sharon Brandies, Raymond Griffin,and Jackie Griffin.



Interment will take place in Riverside Memorial Park in Jacksonville, Florida at a later date.
