Joseph Wyse Ii

August 31, 1949 — April 9, 2010

Joseph �Joe� Herbert Wyse II, of Emerson passed away Friday, April 9, 2010 at the Cartersville Medical Center. Born August 31, 1949 in Augusta, he was the son of the late Joseph Herbert Wyse and the late Mildred Ellis Sturkie Wyse.



Joe had been employed with Georgia Power as a project manager for thirty years. His career with Georgia Power had relocated him over the years from Augusta to Tifton to Macon to Stockbridge and most recently to Cartersville. Joe was also very proud of his work coordinating logistics for Georgia Power during major storm clean up around the Southeastern United States.



Joe was very patriotic and supportive of his country. He was a veteran of the United States Navy in the SeaBees and served in two tours of Vietnam. Joe was also a very loyal friend who loved his family, his friends, and his dogs, Cutter and Claire. He enjoyed boating and listening to music by Jimmy Buffet.



Survivors include his wife of twenty years, Dee Anne Humphrey Wyse; his daughter and son-in-law, Christy and Chris Morrow of Stockbridge; his grandchildren, Mason Joseph Morrow and Bailey Michelle Morrow; and his mother-in-law, Christine Humphrey of Vidalia.



The family will receive friends from 2 � 4 p.m. Sunday at the residence of Dee Anne Wyse, 37 Waterside Dr., Emerson, GA 30121.



A memorial service to celebrate Joe�s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 12, 2010 at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Military honors will be provided by the Bartow Vietnam Veterans Association.



Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Bob Wainscot, David Adams, Mike Channell, Warren Conley, and Aaron Strickland.
