Joseph Kimbell

Joseph Michael (Mike) Kimbell, age 73, passed away on Friday January 15th, 2021, at Kennestone hospital in Kennesaw, Georgia. He is survived by his Daughter and Son-in-Law (Dana and Brandon), his Son (Devon) and his Sister and Brother-in-Law (Kathy and Fulton), his deceased brother and sister (William Timothy Kimbell and Vivian O. Smith), along with his nieces and nephews and many friends.

Mike was born on October 16th, 1947 in a suburb of Atlanta, Georgia, to parents, now deceased, Sammie and Betty Kimbell. After faithfully serving in the United States Air force, Mike found joy and fulfillment in many different career paths during the course of his life. Soon after retirement, Mike enjoyed filling his time with good friends, playing poker, and Georgia Tech Football. His family and friends will always remember him as someone who 'never met a stranger'.

The Celebration of Life service will be held at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home, 430 Cassville Road, Cartersville Georgia 30120, on Saturday February 27th, 2021 at 3:00 PM. Reverend Michael Matthews will officiate the Celebration of Life Service.

In remembrance of Mike, the family requests that guests wear Georgia Tech colors (gold & navy) or Georgia Tech gear. A small reception will take place following the Service at his sister Kathy's private residence.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the charity of your choosing in honor of Mike, or a potted plant in remembrance of his life that will continue to live on with the family.
