Mr. Joseph Pugliese, 88, of 1912 Euharlee Rd., Kingston, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at the Heartland Hospice House. Born in Camden, New Jersey on November 27, 1919, he was the son of the late John Pugliese and the late Maria Bari Pugliese.
Mr. Pugliese moved to Cartersville in 1980 after retiring from the RCA Company where he was employed as a wire cable instructor and assembly specialist. He loved farming in his latter years. Mr. Pugliese was a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church and of the Retired Men's Club. He was also a veteran of the United States Army having served during World War II. Mr. Pugliese was preceded in death by his parents; his son, John Pugliese; his brothers, Harry Pugliese, Vincent Pugliese, and Duke Pugliese; and his sister, Henrietta Pugliese.
Survivors include his wife, Grace Pugliese; his son and daughter-in-law, Harry and Ellen Pugliese of Kingston; his daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Bill Buzard of Voorhees, New Jersey; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; his sisters, Ann Farrenelli of New Jersey, Francis Hall of Florida, and Josephine Pugliese of New Jersey; his brother, Tony Pugliese of New Jersey; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 22, 2008 at Oak Grove United Methodist Church, 1653 Euharlee Rd., Kingston with Rev. Joel Miller and Rev. Leon Smith officiating. Burial with full military honors provided by American Legion Carl Boyd Post 42 will follow in the church cemetery.
