Joseph Benjamin "Joey" Webb, Jr, 46, of Savannah, died Friday, February 15, 2014 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Born February 12, 1968 in Kennesaw, he was the son of the late Joseph B. "Joe" Webb, Sr., and the late Martha Gail Blalock Webb. Joey's nickname to his friends and family was "Boo"; he was raised in Acworth and Canton during his younger years of life. He also lived in Florida, with his parents, where his dad pastored in the Church of God of Prophecy for several years prior to pastoring in Georgia, so Joey was a "PK" (Pastor's Kid). Joey played football for the Adairsville High School Tigers. He was very talented as a song writer and playing the guitar. He sang country music as well as country gospel music. Joey worked with his dad painting houses and went to school to become a mechanic. He liked working on cars with his dad, and loved to go fishing, he frequently went out on the boat with mama and dad and other family members. Joey was very loved and will be sadly missed.
Survivors include his son, Joseph Benjamin Webb, III of White, currently stationed at Fort Stewart, GA, in the U. S. Army; sister and brother-in-law, Donna Webb Walraven and Walkie Walraven of Cartersville; 3 nieces; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Gospel Deliverance Church, 300 N. Main Street, Adairsville, with The Reverend J. A. Martin, The Reverend Jerry Cornwell, and Bishop Billy Adams officiating. The family will receive friends at the Church, one hour prior to the service.
