Josiah Akins

Josiah Christopher Akins, the child of Kristie Akins and Bud Davis, Jr., died Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at the Cartersville Medical Center due to complications in Kristie�s pregnancy. He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Paul and Annie Hunter and Bud and Louise Davis; his aunt, Amanda Davis Griffin; and his cousins, Edward Lee and Mason Akins.



Survivors include his mother, Kristie Leanne Akins; his father, Bud Donald Davis, Jr.; his grandparents, Tom and Janet Williams and Chuck and Renee Davis; his aunts and uncles, Bobby and Jessica Akins, Bradley Akins, Jeramie and Rachel Akins, Bobby Davis, Carl Griffin, and Michael Herzing; his cousins, Nicholas Akins, Madison Akins, Layla Akins, Eathan Akins, Chloe Akins, Myles Akins, and Madison Griffin; and special friends of the family, Stormy Jones, Susan Watts, and the members of Faith Baptist Church.



Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, July 31, 2009 at Faith Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Foster officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Crossroads Baptist Church. Serving as pallbearers will be Bobby Akins, Bradley Akins, Jeramie Akins, and Bobby Davis. Honorary pallbearer will be Nicholas Akins.



The family will receive friends from 6 � 9 p.m. Thursday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Rd., Cartersville, GA 30120.
