Mrs. Joyce E. Diamond, 66, of Cartersville, died Sunday, December 9, 2012 at Kathy Cares Hospice.
Born February 17, 1946 in Coldstream, New Brunswick, Canada, she was a daughter of the late Maylon Smith and the late Florence Johnston Smith. Mrs. Diamond was of the Christian Faith and had worked in retail for many years. She loved to read and spend time with her family.
Survivors include her daughter, Justina Dellheim and her husband Ralph of Canton; son, Kenneth Shankland of the Philippines; brother, Keith Smith of New Brunswick, Canada; sisters, Myrtle Pelkey of Maine, and Shirley Hurley of New Jersey; granddaughter, Lauren Dellheim of Canton; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date, and in lieu of flowers, suggest donations be made in her memory to The Humane Society of the United States, 2100 L. Street NW, Washington, DC 20037.
