Joyce Shumpert

Mrs. Joyce Drawdy Shumpert, 57, of Cartersville earned her wings on Saturday, April 25, 2009 after her long battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard Fulton Drawdy and Bernice Hewitt Drawdy; and her brother, Jerol Drawdy. Joyce touched the lives of many through her kindness, generosity, and resounding laughter.





Mom will eternally be loved by her husband of 37 years, George E. Shumpert; daughters and sons-in-law, Sacha and Jason Ballard of Cartersville, Charity and Joey Welu of St. Augustine, FL, and Karissa and Jonathan Mitchell of Cartersville; grandchildren, Cody, Alyssa, Taylor, Justin, Carter, Connor, and Noah; her brothers and sisters, Delton Drawdy, Richard Drawdy, Ricky Drawdy, Iris Hipps, Inez Butler, Shirley Ammons, and Wanda Hampton and their children.



Memorial Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 2, 2009 in the chapel of St. Johns Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 385 SR 207, St. Augustine, FL 32086.
