Judy Cornett

Mrs. Judy R. Cornett, 57, of Cartersville, died Thursday, October 22, 2015 at Cartersville Medical Center.

Born April 25, 1958 in Lithia Springs, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Guy Edward Carruth and the late Betty Carruth. Mrs. Cornett loved her family and had a very warm, welcoming spirit about her. She was employed with The Southern Company/Georgia Power as an accountant for 39 years.

Survivors include her husband of 23 years, James "Jim" Cornett; daughter, Katie Cornett McGlamry and her husband, U.S. Army Specialist Wesley McGlamry of Cartersville; son, Chris Scoggins and his wife Brittany of Sylvania; grandson, Raylan Jace Scoggins; and a brother, David Carruth of Lithia Springs.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with The Reverend James Black officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Monday, October 26, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
