Julien Goodwin

Mr. Julien Wesley Goodwin, 80, of Cartersville, passed away Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at his residence.
Born June 24, 1934 in Floyd County, Mr. Goodwin was the son of the late Joseph Wesley Goodwin and Minnie Helton Goodwin. He was of the Baptist Faith and was a loving and devoted husband and father. Mr. Goodwin never met a stranger and was always generous with his technical skills when family and neighbors needed a helping hand. Mr. Goodwin was a veteran, having served his country in the United States Army. In addition to his parents, his is preceded in death by his siblings, Charles Goodwin and Josephine Goodwin.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Barbara Ann Cagle Goodwin of Cartersville; his daughter, Julie Ann Goodwin of Cartersville; his son, Gerald Wesley Goodwin of Acworth; his sister Lucille Hazelwood of Cartersville; his brother, Horace Goodwin also of Cartersville; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 16, 2014 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with The Reverend Benny Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the Cassville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
