June Salmon

Mrs. June Jeri Salmon, of 27 Oak Street, Rome, GA died Wednesday, March 17, 2010.



Mrs. Salmon was born in Bartow County, GA on June 11, 1935 to the late Harley Lee Craig and Maud Wheeler. She was a graduate of the Rome Vocational Academy. Mrs. Salmon was a nurse having worked in various hospitals and facilities in the Rome area

prior to retirement in 1992. She was of the Baptist Faith. She loved to work crossword puzzles, go shopping and watching Judge Judy. She was a loving wife and mother. In addition to her parents Mrs. Salmon was preceded in death by a step-son, Kenneth G. Salmon, sister, Evelyn Barton and a brother Bill Craig.





Survivors include her husband of forty-six years, Clarence �Snookie� Salmon of Rome, Ga; children, Lee Salmon, Meg Salmon and Stephen Lynn Salmon all of Rome, GA; brother, Jack Craig and his wife, Betty of Adairsville, GA. and loving pet Chihuahua Penny. Several nieces and nephews also survive.



Graveside and interment services will be held Friday, March 19, 2010 at 3:00 P.M. in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens with Dr. Floyd Roebuck officiating.



The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Oaknoll Chapel of the McGuire, Jennings & Miller Funeral Home.
