J.W. Mulkey

Mr. J. W. Mulkey, age 68, of 104 Johnson Drive, Cartersville, died on Monday, April 14, 2008 at Cartersville Medical Center. Born in Pickens County on Aug. 28, 1939, he was the son of the late Grady Mulkey and Lee Hicks Mulkey. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed fishing.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Darlene and Terry Bryant; his grandson, Matt Bryant and his wife, Regina; his granddaughter, Melisa Bryant; his great granddaughter, Amber Bryant; his sister and brother-in-law, Lana and Johnny Henson; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Lloyd and Shirley Mulkey, James and Charlene Mulkey all of Ellijay; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Stover and Rev. Paul Richards officiating. Interment will follow in Ryo Baptist Church Cemetery in Fairmount.

Pallbearers are asked to meet at the funeral home on Wed at 1:15 p.m. and will include: Matt Bryant, Donnie Weaver, Charles Stepp, Eric Childers, Michael Townsend and Ricky Pace.

The family received friends on Tuesday from 5 – 9 p.m.
