Katherine Brown

Katherine �Jean� Twilley Brown, 79, of White passed away Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at the Cartersville Medical Center. Born March 18, 1931 in Burnt Hickory, she was the daughter of the late William Rufus Twilley and the late Delia Mae Thomason Twilley. She was also preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Cindy Brown; her siblings, Randell Twilley, Bill Twilley, Ann McAdams, Lester Thomason, Alma Brown, and Lance Twilley; a brother-in-law, Frank Hibbard; and her granddaughter, Bridget Brown.



Jean was the proud owner of Jean�s Restaurant for twenty-eight years and was a member of the Touch of Grace Church. She was a huge Atlanta Braves fan, loved NASCAR, enjoyed talking on the telephone, and enjoyed watching the Gaithers on television on Saturday.



She is survived by her husband of fifty-three years, Meredith Brown; her children and their spouses, Billy Brown, Kristy and Joe Collum, Shane and Michelle Brown; her grandchildren, Cody Brown, Katie Brown, Haley Collum, Cassie Collum, Tony Collum, Lance Brown, Zachary Brown, and Erica Lilly; her great-grandchildren, Garrett Collum and Ty Collum; her siblings, Delia Thomas, Virginia Powell, and Larry Twilley; and several nieces and nephews.



Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 5, 2010 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Terry Hale, Dr. Ed Rhodes, and Mr. Dowis Satterfield officiating. Burial will follow in the White Methodist Cemetery.



Serving as pallbearers will be Doug Allen, Bill Allen, Sammy McMillan, Dale Hibbard, Casey Twilley, Matt Orum, Burch Fannin, and Mark Hibbard. Honorary pallbearers will be Cody Brown, Lance Brown, Zachary Brown, Tony Collum, and Scott McAdams. These gentlemen are requested to meet at the funeral home by 1:15 p.m. on Saturday.



The family will receive friends from 5 � 9 p.m. Friday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Road, Cartersville, GA 30120.
