Katherine Dupree

Katherine "Kathy" Dupree, age 63, of 19 Fairview Drive, Cartersville, formerly of Kingston, died on Saturday, April 5, 2008 at Heartland Hospice House. Born in Hayesville, North Carolina on May 28, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Floyd Davenport and Flora Spivey Davenport. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting. Preceding her in death are her parents; a sister, Eva Davenport; two brothers, Tommy and Leon Davenport.

Survivors include her husband, James T. "Bunk" Dupree of Cartersville; her sons and daughter-in-law, Charles and Amber Dupree of Kingston, James T. Dupree, Jr. and Harold Dean Dupree both of Cartersville; sisters and brothers, Frances Kirkland of Cartersville, Monroe Davenport, Jack Davenport and Sarah Hogsed all of Hayesville, North Carolina; her grandchildren, Landon Wood, Jordan Dupree, Cassidy Dupree
and a grandchildren due in November; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m., Monday, April 7, 2008, at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Doc Hatfield and Rev. Michael Abernathy officiating. Interment will follow in Kingston Cemetery.

Pallbearers are asked to meet at the funeral home on Monday at 2:45 p.m. and will include: David, Harold and Kevin Kirkland, Harold Dupree, Dewayne Hale and Marcus Bennett. Danny Hardin and James Blumenfeld will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family received friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 6 -9 p.m.
