Kathleen Vincent

Ms. Kathleen Pierce Vincent, age 72, of 404 Calhoun Avenue, Rome, GA died Tuesday, August 19, 2008, in a local hospital.



Ms. Vincent was born in Floyd County, GA, on September 24, 1935, the daughter of the late Homer Pierce and Winnifred Haney Pierce. She was a member of Hollywood Baptist Church for over fifty years and was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and a mother to many. Ms. Vincent worked for Bekaert Corporation for over nineteen years and held many positions. In addition to her parents Ms. Vincent is preceded in death by a niece, Judy Macgruder on October 1, 2004.



Ms. Vincent is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, David Vincent of Rome and Richard and Jennifer Vincent of Flat Rock, AL; a daughter and son-in-law, Debra and John Bobka of Chicago, IL; six grandchildren, Tony Vincent of Chicago, IL, Marcie Mascheri of Chicago, IL, Brittney Gregory of TX, Allen Bell of Rome, Kassidey Vincent of Flat Rock, AL, and Steven Vincent of Flat Rock, AL; ten great-grandchildren; a sister, Elizabeth Jones of Rome; and four nieces, Sharon Brose of FL, Gerrye Tippens of Cartersville, GA, Donna Tant of Cedartown, GA, Denise Jones of Cartersville, GA, and a life long friend, Lily Powell.



Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 21, 2008, at 2:00 P.M. in the Heritage Chapel of the Jennings Funeral Home.



Ms. Vincent will remain in the Heritage Chapel of the Jennings Funeral Home where the family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.



The following gentlemen have been asked to serve as pallbearers and are requested to meet in the Heritage Chapel of the Jennings Funeral Home by 1:30 P.M. on Thursday: Jason Phillips, Brandon Jones, Jamie Barnette, Kenneth Tudor, David Blair, and Danny Massey.
