Kathy Worthington

Mrs. Kathy H. Worthington, 55, of Cartersville died Friday, May 13, 2011 at The Specialty Hospital @ Floyd. A native of Bartow County, born March 13, 1956, she was the daughter of Margaret Howren Alexander and the late Billy Joe Vernon. She was a member of Atco Baptist Church and was employed by Ansco and Associates.

Mrs. Worthington loved her grandchildren, traveling to the beach and NASCAR driver Tony Stewart.

She is survived by her husband, Dennis A. Worthington; her son and daughter-in-law, Corey and Joni Worthington; her daughter and son-in-law, Brandy and Chris Newport; her mother, Margaret Alexander; her mother-in-law, Louise Worthington; her father-in-law, Carl and Mary Worthington; her sister and brother-in-law, Deidre and John Schmick; her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Janice and Rex Payne; her grandchildren, Bailie Hendrix, Blake and Brooke Worthington, Christopher, Christina and Bryson Newport; her nieces, Haley, Courtney and Amber Schmick; along with several aunts and uncles, cousins and special friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, May 15, 2011 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Jon Sullivan officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.



Serving as pallbearers will be Tim Howren, Chuck Proffitt, Jake Davis, Carll Griffith, Ricky Townsend, and Larry Sparks. These gentlemen are asked to be at the funeral home by 2:15 on Sunday.
