Kenneth Larry Stewart, age 72, of Cartersville, Georgia, passed away peacefully, hand in hand with his beloved sister, Sharon Hicks, and his great-niece, Kayla Ray, on April 24, 2026. He was born on February 2, 1954, in Cartersville, Georgia.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Tinnie (Landram) Chapman; his paternal grandparents, Ches (Minnie) Stewart Sr.; his parents, Annie Ruth Stewart and Ches Stewart Jr.; his sister, Glenda Stewart Locklear; and his great-niece, Ka’vya Patience Sierra.
Kenneth attended and graduated from Cartersville High School and was a former member of the National Guard. He was a proud native of Cartersville who deeply valued time spent with family and friends. Kenneth enjoyed spending time with his best friends, David and Wendy Ezell, as well as his sister Sharon, his niece Kayla Ray, and many extended family members and friends. He had a passion for music, especially rock and roll and country. Kenneth was known as the life of the party, always bringing joy and laughter wherever he went. In his spare time, he loved watching sports, with baseball and football being his favorites—cheering on his teams with enthusiasm (“Go Dawgs!” and “Go Canes!”).
Kenneth is survived by his loving children, Chad (Amy) Stewart and Josh Parker; his cherished grandchildren, Shelby Stewart, Joab Stewart, and Trinity Parker; and his devoted sisters, Sharon (Gary) Hicks and Diane (Roger) Knight.
He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Brian (Shelia) Southern and Kevin Ray; and his great-nieces and nephews, Kyle (Mallory) Southern, Dalton (Savannah) Southern, Hunter (Sadie) Southern, Alexandria Southern, Kayla (Tyler) Sierra, Kamden Ray, and Keilani Ray.
Kenneth leaves behind many family members and friends who will carry his memory in their hearts. With deepest gratitude for the time shared with him, his family finds comfort in knowing he will forever live on and will never be forgotten.
