Mr. Kevin King, age 28, of Rome, GA, died Wednesday, May 26, 2004 at a local hospital following a courageous battle with a near life long illness.Kevin was born in Rome, April 15, 1976 and had spent his entire life in Rome and Floyd County. Prior to ill health he had attended Garden Lakes and North Heights Elementary Schools. He was a loving person, a real fighter, with a great amount of determination and will power. He enjoyed watching his favorite programs on TV, The Dukes of Hazard and The Incredible Hulk. Survivors include his mother and step-father, Vickie Estes Toland and Gary Toland, brother, Shane King, a sister and brother in law, Kimberly & Charles Burdettte, step-brothers, Jacob & Josh Toland, step sisters, Sarah & Katy Toland, grandparents; Bill & Jane Estes nephews and niece, Christopher & Sydney King, and C.J. Burdette all of Rome, GA, several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.Funeral and interment services for Mr. Kevin King will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday May 29, 2004 at the graveside of Oaknoll Memorial Gardens with Rev.
