Kimber Sue Wakeland-Wood, 55, of Cartersville, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2020 at Cartersville Medical Center.
Born on March 6, 1965 in Aledo, Illinois, she is the daughter of Michael L. Wakeland and Leda Wakeland. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Martha Spence, Evertt and Ruth Wakeland and Karrol Stropes; her uncle Lane Wakeland.
Survivors include her husband Bobby Lee; her son Slade Wood; parents Michael L. Wakeland and Leda Wakeland; sister Tammy Wakeland; brother Tim Wakeland; niece Matia Probus; nephew Chaz Wakeland; niece/sister Teresa Admire; her uncle/brother Rich Smith; aunts Twyla Pittman, Mary Thompson, Shirley Wakeland, Dixie Kruger; uncle Gov and Aunt Ruth Wakeland; bestie/sisters, Shelli Edlund and Tracy Bailey; and several cousins.
Kimber had two years of college and worked as a manager at Sunrise Manufacturing. She was bubbly, warm and kind. She showed her love to everyone and those who knew her loved her. Like her personality she loved bright happy colors and glitter. She loved all animals especially alpacas, which she always talked about wanting to own a farm and raise them.
