Lanell Moss

Mrs. Lanell "Nannie" Moss, 89, of Rydal, widow of the late Loyd Moss, died Monday, October 14, 2013 at Cartersville Medical Center.

Born December 15, 1923 in Bartow County, she was a daughter of the late Drurie Long, and the late Nealie Thurman Long. Mrs. Moss was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and listening to gospel music. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her twin brother, Winell Long; other brothers, Grady Long, Virgil Long, and Everett Long; and sisters, Janie Long, Dellie Fox, Mary Gilreath, and Elsie Cagle.

Survivors include her son, Benny Moss and his wife Sandra of Cartersville; daughter, Diane Woody of Rydal; grandchildren, Kimberly Bunch and her husband Tim, Wesley Moss and his wife Heather, Tonya Hughes and her husband David, and Theron Woody; great-grandchildren, Isaiah Hughes, Tori Hughes, Branson Hughes, Eric Bunch, Naomi Moss, Hadley Moss, Alexa Woody, and Briley Woody; a special friend, Evelyn Cagle; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with Pastor Wesley Moss and The Reverend Dewey Atchley officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 from 5 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Serving as Pallbearers will be David Hughes, Theron Woody, Isaiah Hughes, J Mar Harris, Andy Long, Terry Long, Tim Bunch, and David Howard.
