Larry Hogan

Mr. Larry E. "Butch" Hogan, 56, of Cartersville passed away Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at the Cartersville Medical Center. Born March 9, 1952 in Marietta, he was the son of Mildred Mattielou McCoy Hogan and the late Grady Henry Hogan, Jr. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Danny Hogan.

Butch was a retired rotor shaper operator with Lockheed. He worked all the time especially on cars and his home. Butch enjoyed helping others. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.

Survivors include his wife, Susan Marie Hogan of Cartersville; his son and daughter-in-law, Stevie and Sharon Hogan of Cartersville; his daughter, Connie Woods of Cartersville; his mother, Mildred "Mimi" Hogan of Cartersville; his sister, Judy Hogan of Cartersville; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Randall and B.J. Hogan of Acworth and Mickey and Melanie Hogan of Cartersville; his grandchildren, Brandon Hogan, Kimberly Leonard, Tiffany Abbott, Bailey Niece, Alec Niece, and Micah Leonard; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 6, 2008 at the Church of God of Prophecy in Kennesaw with Rev. Clinton Fields and Rev. Neal Wright officiating. Butch will lie in state at the church from 9 – 11 a.m. Burial will follow in the Kennesaw City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 – 9 p.m. Thursday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Rd., Cartersville, GA 30120.
