Larry Holt

Larry Gordon Holt, the beloved founder of Holt's Pharmacy, lifelong Bartow County resident, world-class hunter, and avid traveler, joyfully celebrated his 75th birthday surrounded by his loving wife of 53 years, Nettie Moore Holt, his sons Russ and Michael, Russ's daughters Caroline and Maggie Holt, and Michael's special friend Courtney Garrenton. Just a few days later, he passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind a legacy of adventure and love that will be treasured by all who knew him.
The visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home on 430 Cassville Rd, Cartersville, GA 30120. Family and close friends can come as early as 3:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 5, 2024, at Kingston Methodist Church on 17 Elliott St, Kingston, GA 30145. The graveside service will follow at Cassville Cemetery on Chunn Facin Rd NW, Cartersville, GA 30121. Hors d'oeuvres and Fellowship time will be at
Holt Farm on 261 Cassville White Rd, Cartersville, GA 30121.
Serving as pallbearers will be Chaz Holt, Gordon Holt, Jason Holt, John Black, Brett Thomas, and Benjamin Moore. Honorary pallbearers will be John Thomas, Larry Meek, David Holt, Jim Holt, Walter Revell, Bill Mulkey, Dan Clarke, Tommy Strickland, Steve Taylor, Boyd Pettit, Michael Howren, and Cartersville & Bartow County Developmental Authority members.
Larry dedicated his life to uplifting the Bartow County community, leaving a legacy through his support of various organizations. The fund established in his honor will benefit groups, including 4H, FFA, and the Kingston Woman's History Club, ensuring that his commitment to community service continues to impact others.
