June 10, 1969 — June 7, 2009

Larry Erskin McRee, Jr., 39, of Resaca died Sunday, June 7, 2009 after a battle with leukemia. Born in Rome on June 10, 1969, he was the son of Diane Davis Johnson of Cartersville and Larry Erskin McRee, Sr. of Calhoun. Erskin was preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Louise Davis and Jim and Mabel McRee; and his aunt, Hazel O�Tinger.



Erskin was self-employed as a painter and enjoyed NASCAR. He was an outdoorsman who loved fishing and camping. Erskin was known to be very kind hearted and had a great sense of humor.



Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Kim McRee; his son, James Roger McRee; his daughter, Kimberly Lynn McRee; his mother, Dianne Davis Johnson; his father, Larry McRee, Sr.; his brothers and sister-in-law, Tony and Debbie McRee and Larry Jerome McRee; his sisters, Susan Renee McRee, Rose Michelle Patterson, and Katrina Lynette Walls; his only niece, Marcie; and numerous aunts, uncles, and nephews.



Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church with Rev. Jimmy O�Tinger officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.



Serving as pallbearers will be Spud McRee, James Hyde, Jhon Rogers, Tommy Herring, Billy Jenkins, and Michael Swims. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Miller, Donnie Miller, and Chuck Davis.



The family will receive friends from 12 � 3 p.m. at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church.
