Larry Welch

Larry Gene Welch, 79, of White, Georgia, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 7, 2025. Born on March 16, 1946, in Chatsworth, Georgia, he was the son of the late Albert Welch and the late Lolar Hipps Welch. He is also preceded in death by his brothers, Dewey Welch, Ernest Welch, and Leonard Welch; and sisters, Zula Mae Vess and Mary Frances Jones.
Larry was a Christian man who lived a good life. He was loving, very selfless, and he would do anything for anybody. Larry will live forever in the hearts of his family. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was a tail gunner on a helicopter during the Vietnam conflict.
Survivors include his daughter, Delilah Jones; granddaughter, Destiny Robinson; grandson, Noah LaPorte; great granddaughter, Cali LaPorte; nephew, Tim Jones; and sister, Virginia Summey.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 20, 2025, in the Parnick Jennings Funeral Home Chapel.
