Laura Young

Laura Ann Young 78, of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away Friday, January 12, 2024 surrounded by her family. She was born in Cartersville, Georgia to parents Eugene and Nola Payne. Laura moved to Florida from Georgia 20 years ago. She had a passion for crafting and loved being active in her church, Hibernia Baptist church. Her biggest love and passions were her family and they are going to miss her dearly.

Laura was preceded in death by her parents Eugene Payne and Nola Simmons Payne and her son Gene Elrod.

She is survived by her daughter Denise Coussens (Dane); step-daughter, Lynn Dasher; brother, Donald Payne (Joanne); sister, Phyllis Henson; grandchildren; Dylan Elrod, Dustin Elrod, Chase Coussens, Hunter Coussens, Avery Coussens, and Kayla Coussens; and great grandchildren, Nora Miller and Ezra Coussens.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 2:00PM in the Parnick Jennings Funeral Home Chapel, 430 Cassville Road, Cartersville, GA 30120;.

A burial internment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens, 790 Indian Mounds Rd, Cartersville, GA 30120
