Lavane Sutton

Ms. Lavane Hardin Sutton, age 86, of Cartersville, passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Fite Living Centre. She was born in Emerson on March 18, 1931 to the late Odessa Howell and Silas Hardin.

Ms. Sutton was a member of Atco Baptist church and loved Jesus with all her heart. Her greatest accomplishment was the excellent care she provided for her beloved daughter, Amy, her entire life. She was a people person and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Amy Sutton; sisters, Frances Garland and Helen Hardin; and brother Douglas Hardin.

She is survived by her children, Les Sutton, Gwen Willingham (Al), Mimi Mathison and Rebecca Edwards (Bruce); her grandchildren, Landon Sutton (Lori), Brett Sutton, Silas Sutton (Joelle), Seth Sutton, Priscilla Sutton (Amber), Trey Willingham (Nicole), Trent Willingham, Ross Mathison (Christine), Molly Mathison, Jason Edwards, Stephanie Moss (Justin), Chris Edwards (Jennifer), Matt Edwards (Jessie) and Josh Edwards; 14 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.

The family wish to express their sincere graditude to the wonderful caregivers and staff at Fite Living Centre for their exceptional care of Ms. Lavane.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 17, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Sunset Memory Gardens with Dr. Raiford Cantrell officiating. Interment will follow. The family will receive friends from 5 – 8 p.m on Thursday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Landon Sutton, Silas Sutton, Brett Sutton, Seth Sutton, Ross Mathison, Trey Willingham, Trent Willingham, Jason Edwards, Chris Edwards, Matt Edwards and Josh Edwards.
