Mrs. LaVonne O'Dillon Clark, age 68, of Rome, died Friday, June 16, 2006, after an extended illness.Mrs. Clark was born in Floyd County, GA on January 23, 1938, the daughter of the late Rev. Arthur Roy O'Dillon and Tina Beatrice Williams O'Dillon. She retired in 1996 after a lengthy career as a local real estate agent. Mrs. Clark was a member of Life and Praise Worship Center and was a former pianist for The Adorations. She and her sister volunteered at the 5th Avenue Nursing Home until she became ill. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Clark was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Wilford" Clark, Sr., who passed in 1986.Mrs. Clark is survived by her two daughters and her son, Denise, Janise and Bobby Clark of Rome; and a sister, JoAnn Shadrick of Rome. Funeral services were held Sunday, June 18, 2006, at 3:00 P.M. in the Heritage Chapel of the Jennings Funeral Home with Pastor Annette Edenfield officiating. The Adorations performed "What A Meeting In the Air", "Heaven", and "Beulah Land." Interment service was on Monday at East View Cemetery at 1:00 P.M.The family received friends Saturday, June 17, in the Heritage Chapel of the Jennings Funeral Home.The following gentlemen served as active pallbearers: Charles Bailey, Larry Maxey, David Terrell, Richard Shiflett and Leslie Lucas.
