Mrs. Leila Grace Tallant Bell, age 94, of 24 Westwood Circle, Rome, died at Beverly Health Care following an extended illness.Mrs. Bell was born in Cumming, Forsyth County, Georgia, August 1, 1910, daughter of the late James Harrison Tallant and Mamie Delilah Tallant. She spent most of her life in Rome and Floyd County and was a member of the West Rome Baptist Church. She was a member of the Fidelis Sunday School Class and a former member of the Primetime Singers. Prior to her retirement in 1975, she was employed by West Point Pepperell for 33 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Herschel Winton Bell, three sisters, Gertrude Ballenger, Annie Jane Westbrook and Laura Pirkle, three brothers, Joel Tallant, Ezra Tallant and Landrum Tallant.She is survived by a son and a daughter-in-law Donald and Nancy Bell of Rome; a granddaughter, Lora Lee Bell, of Smyrna, Ga., a granddaughter and her husband, Dee Anna and Charles Rittenhouse of Rome; a granddaughter and her husband, Julie Winton and Luke Elrod; and a great-granddaughter, Anna Grace Rittenhouse. A number of nieces and nephews also survive.Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00p.m. from the Oaknoll Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with Rev. Glynn Stone and Rev. Charles Eden officiating.
