Mrs. Lena Pauline (Polly) Ellerbee, age 95 of Pineview Way, Rome, GA, died Thursday, July 29, 2004.Mrs. Ellerbee was born in Bartow County, September 1, 1908, daughter of the late James Martin and Lula Adeline Smith Culberson but had spent the greater part of her life in Rome and Floyd County. She was a member of the Rome First Baptist church and a former member of the Rome Business Women's Association. For many years prior to her retirement she was associated with O'Neal Manufacturing Company. She was a a pleasant Christian lady and loved morking with her flowers.She was married to the late Ben Hill Ellerbee who preceded her in death.Survivors include four sisters; Doris Hight of Shannon, GA, Lucille Littlefield of Adairsville, GA, Joyce Chastian of Rome, and Elosie Moore of Calhoun, GA, several nieces and nephews.Funeral services for Mrs. Lena Pauline (Polly) Ellerbee will be held at 2PM Saturday, July 31, 2004 in the Heritage Chapel of the Jennings Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Chancey officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Hills Memorial Gardens.Mrs. Ellerbee will remain at the Heritage Chapel of the Jennings Funeral Home where the family will receive friends Friday from 6-8PM and at other hours will be at the residence of a sister, Doris Hight, 320 Second Street, Shannon.Pallbearers serving include; Earl Barrett, Tom Moore, Wade Culberson, Richard Nelson, Dr. Byron Littlefield and Steve Roland.Please join Mrs. Ellerbee's family in honoring her life by visiting www.jenningsfuneralhome.com to post tributes and share memories.The Heritage Chapel of the Jennings Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements for the services of Mrs. Lena Pauline (Polly) Ellerbee.
