Leonard Bagley

March 29, 1945 — December 6, 2010

Leonard Gordon Bagley, 65, of Cassville died peacefully at his residence on Monday, December 6, 2010. Born March 29, 1945 in Cassville, he was the son of the late Frank Gordon Bagley and the late Mary Linnie Adcock Bagley Lowery. Preceding him in death along with his parents are his brother, John L. �Buddy� Bagley, and his sister-in-law, Edith Blair.



Leonard was employed by American Carpet for seventeen years where he was a maintenance supervisor. He was also employed by Golden Corral for eight years as an assistant manager. Leonard�s favorite pastime was word search books and going to Gatlinburg. He also enjoyed arts and crafts and fishing. The biggest pleasure in his life was his family and traveling to Virginia for the birth of his great-granddaughter.



Survivors include his wife of forty-five years, Dianne Bagley; his daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Frank Chatman; his grandchildren, Heather and Stefan McDonald and Madison Chatman; his great granddaughter, Olivia McDonald; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Melvin and Betty Bagley and Paul and Stella Bagley; his sister-in-law, Margie Bagley; his brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Doug and Dot Morris and Bob Blair; and a number of nieces and nephews.



Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 9, 2010 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Quillian Millsap and Rev. Leon Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Cassville Cemetery.



Serving as pallbearers will be Mark Bagley, Mitchell Bagley, Stacy Chatman, Lewis Smith, Randy Wynn, Tony Lackey, Owen McDonald, and Patrick Blair. These gentlemen are requested to meet at the funeral home by 12:15 p.m. on Thursday.



The family will receive friends from 5 � 8 p.m. Wednesday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Rd., Cartersville, GA 30120.



The family would like to give a special thanks to Cartersville Medical Center 3rd floor staff and doctors and to Countryside Hospice for all the love and care that they received during Leonard�s illness.
