Lessie Powell

Lessie Wynema Powell, age 68, of 4059 Hwy 411, Kingston, died Sunday, September 23, 2007 at Cartersville Medical Center. She was born in Fulton County on March 18, 1939 to the late Joseph Hughes and Lessie Ledford Hughes. She attended Faith Baptist Church and was a loving mother and grandmother. Preceding her in death are her parents and her husband, Lloyd Powell.

Survivors include her children, Gregory Powell and his wife Kimmie of Kingston; Allen Powell and his wife Mary Ann of Kingston; Gary Powell and his wife Pam of Cartersville; Stevie Powell of Acworth; Lessa Keith and her husband, Junior of Kingston; her daughter-in-law, Sissy Colston; her brother, E.W. Hughes; her sister, May Norton; eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. in Parnick Jennings Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers are asked to meet at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home at 2:15 p.m. on Tuesday and will include: Keith Powell, B. J. Keith, A.J. Powell, Nicholas Keith, Little Gregory, and Timothy Keith. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 6 – 9 p.m.
