Liane Mathews

October 31, 1965 — February 2, 2025

Liane Mathews, daughter of Heinz and Maria Pfluger, and sister of Sonja Pfluger passed away on February 2, 2025. Liane was born on October 31, 1965 in Gerlostein, Germany.

Liane earned an A.A. in Foreign Languages from El Paso Community College, a B.S. in Social Psychology from Park University, a M.S. in Human Resource Management from the University of Phoenix, and a Ph.D. in Higher Education from Capella University. She also attained education leadership certifications in Alabama and Georgia. Liane was a teacher in Georgia at Stockbridge Middle and High Schools. She was also a Dissertation Mentor for the University of Phoenix.

Liane loved to travel. Her international/OCONUS travels include visits to Austria, Bahamas, Belgium, Denmark, France, Hawaii, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Mexico, South Korea, Sweden, and Switzerland. Her favorite vacation spot was the beach.

Liane was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, sister, in-law, and friend. She will be sorely missed by many.

She is survived by her husband of 39 years Linton Mathews Jr. and daughter Brittany Mathews.
