Libby Norton

Elizabeth �Libby� Norton, 59, of Kingston died Saturday, August 15, 2009 at the Heartland Hospice House in Cartersville. Born July 1, 1950 in Carrollton, she was the daughter of the late Hiram and Rosalind Parker. Libby was employed by Shaw Industries until her retirement. She loved animals and enjoyed spending time working on her farm.



Survivors include her sister and brother-in-law, Deborah and Fred Thomas; her niece and nephews, Kate Houston, Mark Jordan, and Greg Jordan; a special niece, Nikki Norton; several other nieces and nephews; her ex-husband, Charles �Boo� Norton; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Shirley and Doc Cagle; her in-laws, Brenda and Terrell Padgett, Retha and Johnny Collum, Doug Norton, and Ricky Norton; a special friend, Carla Roberts; and other good friends.



Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 17, 2009 at Sunset Memory Gardens with Rev. Mark Jordan officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Payton Silvers, Jamie Long, Red Summey, David Collum, Johnny Collum, and Greg Jordan. The gentlemen are requested to meet at the funeral home by 1:15 p.m. on Monday.



The family will receive friends from 5 � 8 p.m. Sunday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Rd., Cartersville, GA 30120.



Those who wish may send flowers but the family would prefer memorial contributions be made to the Etowah Valley Humane Society, 36 Ladd's Mountain Rd., Cartersville GA 30120.
