Mrs. Lillian H. Howard, 89, of Cartersville passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Wednesday, March 10, 2010. A native of Bartow County, she was born June 13, 1920 and was the daughter of the late John Daniel �J.D.� Howell and the late Anna Lee Nora Mullins Howell. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Rev. Lucius J. Howard; and her granddaughter, Kimberly Michelle Howard.
Mrs. Howard was the last surviving charter member of both the Rogers Station Church of God and the Canton Road Church of God. For over sixty years, she worked in the family business, Howards Shopette, performed the duties of a pastor�s wife, and lovingly raised her children. Her greatest joy was teaching her children, her grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren to love God and each other.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Doyle and Brenda Howard of Marietta and Curtis and Nora Howard of White; her daughters and son-in-law, Debbie and Dale Brewer of Cartersville and Becky Frasier of Cartersville; twelve grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 13, 2010 at the Canton Road Church of God with Rev. Dale Brewer and Rev. Dewayne McCreary officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jeff Brewer, Brandon Frasier, Brady Frasier, Johnny Knight, Brandon Rutledge, David Hall, Camron Martin, and Chris Strickland. These gentlemen are requested to meet at the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
The family will receive friends from 6 � 9 p.m., Friday, March 12, 2010 at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Road, Cartersville, GA 30120.
