Lillian Maybern

January 19, 1919 — May 5, 2009

Lillian Lee Tatum Maybern, 90, of White, passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at Starcrest Nursing Home in Cartersville where she had been a resident for almost five years. She was born January 19, 1919 and lived her entire life in Bartow County. Lillian was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church where she was one of the oldest living members. She retired from Spring City, formerly EZ Mills, where she was employed for thirty-five years. Lillian was one who loved the Lord, her family, and �hard work!� We all loved her and will cherish our lifetime of memories.

Lillian is preceded in death by her husband, Henry Harold Maybern; her parents, Ryle and Bertha Tatum; a granddaughter, Cyndi Griffin; a sister, Ruby Tatum; a brother, Bobby Tatum; a brother and sister-in-law, Buddy and Margaret Tatum; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Alva and Bill Howell, Annie Sue and Grady Hughes, Herbert King and J.W. Mellinger.

Lillian is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Max and Nancy Maybern of White; her grandsons, Chris Maybern, Chad Maybern, and Heath Griffin; her great-grandchildren, Craig, Jarod, Joseph, Kaitlyn and Jessica Maybern and Kodi and Will Ascencio; her sisters, Ella King and Jeanette Mellinger; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ryle and Ida Tatum, Hudson and Sherry Tatum, Betty Jo Tatum and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, 2009 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Colon Ashworth officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour on Wednesday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Rd., Cartersville, GA 30120.
