Lillie Davenport

Lillie Mae Teems Davenport, 95, of Cartersville passed away Sunday, July 12, 2009 at her residence. Born January 24, 1914 in Gilmer County, she was the daughter of the late John C. Teems and the late Mae Kinser Teems. She was also preceded in death by her husband Aldon C. Davenport, her brothers and sisters, J.C. Teems, Lloyd Teems, Della Parker, Lelia Teems, and Eunice Wilson.



Lillie worked for Goodyear, and enjoyed sewing and reading but she mostly enjoyed spending time in the company of her granddaughter.



Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Jerry L. and Gail A. Poole of Cartersville; her granddaughter, Brandy Poole White, and her husband Taylor F. White, her step-children and their spouses, Jere and Paul Edwards of Jonesboro, Richard and Jeanette Davenport of Kingston, Barbara and Wayne Crumbley of Cartersville, Howard and Barbara Davenport of Cartersville, Audrey Pickle and the late Joel Pickle of Cartersville; and several nieces and nephews.



Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 14, 2009 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be Taylor White, Randy Howell, Larry Arp, Ricky Ledford,Mark Teems,and Tony Posey. These gentlemen are requested to be at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m.



The family will receive friends from 6 � 8 p.m. Monday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Rd., Cartersville GA 30120.
