Mrs. Linda Martin Adair, age 66, of Rome, GA died August 6, 2009 in a local healthcare facility.
Mrs. Adair was born in Floyd County, GA on July 5, 1943, the daughter of the late C.L. Martin and Valerie Martin. Mrs. Adair retired from the State of Georgia as an Assistant District Director Department of Juvenile Justice after thirty-five years of service. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. In addition to her parents Mrs. Adair was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Martin.
Survivors include her husband, Gary Adair of Rome; a son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Suzanne Adair of Oviedo, FL; a daughter, Rhonda Adair of Boca Raton, FL; grandchildren, Taylor Adair, Rachel Adair, Caleb Adair, and Savannah and her husband, Mike Barnett; and two great-grandchildren, Addison Barnett and Connor Barnett. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, August 10, 2009, at 1:00 P.M. in the Fellowship Baptist Church with Dr. Dale Levan officiating. Interment will follow in the Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. in the Oaknoll Chapel of the McGuire, Jennings, & Miller Funeral Home.
The following gentlemen have been asked to serve as pallbearers and are requested to meet at Fellowship Baptist Church by 12:30 P.M. on Monday: Mike Manning, Gaston Martin, Clinton Martin, Herman Brock, Ken Adair, and Ken Colston.
