Linda Elizabeth Worthington, 79, of Rome Georgia, passed away on November 23, 2021 at her residence.
Born on April 30, 1942, she is the daughter of the late John F. Whorton and the late Mary E. Dobson. She is also preceded in death by her great-grandchildren, Ethan Worthington and Layla Worthington; sister, Francis McElroy; and niece, Kathy Hester.
Survivors include her sons, Billy Worthington Sr. (Michelle) and Bobby Worthington (Mary); twelve grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren, five great great-grandchildren and two on the way; as well as her brothers, Danny Whorton and Johnny Whorton.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm Georgia time, 11:00 am Alabama time on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at Friendship Baptist Church located at 50 County Road 93 in Centre, Alabama. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
