Linnie Lowery, 90, of Cartersville died Monday, January 04, 2010 at Maple Ridge Health Care Center. Born November 30, 1919 in Bartow County, she was the daughter of the late Adrian J. Adcock and the late Mary Havillah Shaw Adcock. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Frank Gordon Bagley in 1970, and George Howard Lowery in 1981; step-son, Buddy Bagley; sisters, Mattie Lou Wright, Georgia Epps, Bertha Holcomb, Celia Wright, and Mildred McElrath; brothers, Hugh Dorsey Adcock, Sr., and Luther Adcock.
Prior to her retirement Linnie was employed as a seamstress at Cartersville Undergarment. She enjoyed quilting and cooking and was known for her fried apple pies and chocolate cakes. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Melvin and Betty Bagley of Cassville, Leonard and Dianne Bagley of Cassville, step-sons, Paul Bagley and his wife Stella of Cassville, and W.C. Lowery of Cartersville; step-daughters, Annie Lee Teague, Martha Ann McEver, Dottie Wilson, Edith Bryant and Joyce Hayward all of Cartersville; grandchildren and their spouses, Lisa and Frank Chatman, Mark and Traci Bagley, and Mitchell and Rhonda Bagley; sister-in-law, Grace Adcock of Folsom; daughter-in-law, Margie Bagley of Cassville; nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Oak Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Benny Thomas and the Rev. Ralph Shook officiating. Burial will follow in Cassville Cemetery. The Deacons of Oak Grove Baptist Church will serve as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 5 � 8 p.m. Tuesday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Rd., Cartersville, GA 30120.
Flowers will be accepted, however those desiring may make contributions to the Oak Grove Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 935, Cartersville, GA 30120.
