Linzie Donald Kimbrel, 59, of Kingston, died Saturday, December 21, 2013 at Cartersville Medical Center.
Born July 28, 1954 in Cartersville he was the son of the late Linzie B. Kimbrel and Linnie Green Kimbrel. Mr. Kimbrel was an avid outdoorsman especially hunting and fishing. He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Kimbrel was preceded in death by his father, his daughter, Donna Kimbrel; his sister Frances Stiles, and several aunts and uncles.
Survivors include his wife of forty years, Janice Kimbrel; his daughters Gayla (Jonathan) Allen of Ranger, and Melissa Harkins of Calhoun; his mother; his sisters, Sandra Brown of Kingston, Deidra Kimbrel of Cartersville, Deana Kimbrel of Houston TX, Patricia Kimbrel of Kingston; his brothers, Aaron Kimbrel of Kingston, Fabian Kimbrel of Calhoun, Brian Kimbrel of Kingston; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service for Mr. Kimbrel will be announced at a later date.
