Lisa Jane McGinnis, 59 of Rome, Georgia passed away on August 22, 2025 at Redmond Hospital. She was born in Rome on December 21, 1965 to the late Nelma Jean McGinnis. In addition to her mother, she is also preceded in death by her sister, Pamela Brawner and her brother, Ken McGinnis.
She is survived her children, Erika Barnette and Garet Lepo; son-in-law Cody Barnette; grandchildren Maddox Kuykendall, Artemis Barnette, Imogen Barnette, as well as a bonus grandchild Adriel Howard-Sullivan; sister Elizabeth Johnson; brother-in-law Michael Brawner; nieces Katelyn Eaton and Tabitha Hembree; nephew Tyler Hembree; cousins Penny Miller and Michael Miller; close friends Amy, Erica, and Kenyatta; numerous other family members; as well as numerous friends who also served their country alongside her.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at the Hampton Inn, 875 W. 1st St., Rome, GA 30161.
