Lois Gravitt

November 25, 1921 — May 17, 2010

Lois Gravitt, 88, of Lilburn and formerly of Cartersville passed away Monday, May 17, 2010 at the Emory Eastside Medical Center in Snellville. Born November 25, 1921 in Alpharetta, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Cleveland Pace and the late Beulah Victoria Gramling Pace. She was also preceded in death by her children, Eston Pace and Gail Barrett; and her brothers, Troy Pace, Charlie Pace, and John Pace.



Lois enjoyed reading books and watching her favorite pastors in television. She was also an Elvis Presley fan. Lois had attended the Sam Howell Nursing Institute and retired from Union Carbide when she was seventy-three years old.



Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Lamar and Linda Gravitt of Euharlee; her grandchildren and their spouses, Darrell and Shirley Pace of Norcross, Sharmalee and Mike Ales of Lilburn, Cindy and Drew Williams of Cartersville, Denise and Chris Austin of Alpharetta, Brady and Brandy Gravitt of Euharlee, Kristy Gravitt of Euharlee, and Laura and Matt Morris of Euharlee; sixteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Marie Alexander of Cartersville; her brother, Eugene Pace of Mansfield; and several nieces and nephews.



Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 20, 2010 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.



The family will receive friends from 12 � 2 p.m. Thursday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Rd., Cartersville, GA 30102.
